Report a water or wastewater issue
[Translation pending] Need to report a water, wastewater, or stormwater issue? We want faults reported quickly so the right team can respond as soon as possible.
Waikato Waters is being established in stages. Right now, fault reporting and frontline response services are still managed by your local council — please contact your local council using their usual fault reporting channels and we'll help get you to the right place.
Please report water supply issues (no water, low pressure, discolouration, leaks, taste or odour concerns), wastewater issues (blocked drains, overflows, sewage smell), and any damaged infrastructure including hydrants and stormwater hazards.
If there is immediate danger to people or property, contact emergency services on 111 first. Examples include road hazards from water damage and major infrastructure failure.
When reporting, it helps to provide a street address or nearest location, a description of the issue, when it started, photos if safe to take them, and your contact details — this helps response teams act faster.
Your local council or service contractor will assess the issue and prioritise response based on urgency, safety, and impact. Response times may vary depending on weather, after-hours timing, and severity.
[Translation pending] Faults are managed by each council on our behalf during transition. Select yours to be taken to their fault-reporting page.
